Today I learned a few semi-important things.
1. My tire iron is crap.
2. My emergency jack will not fit under my silly low-riding car, any way you try it.
3. My full-size spare is actually an oversized spare, as it's an 18" wheel...
4. I don't know how enthusiasts generally feel about Les Schwab for tires, but I'm pretty flippin' happy when I show up 10 minutes after they close and they still let me pull in and fix my flat tire for me. Free, as usual.
(The oppo sticker makes a surprise appearance! Also ignore my missing trim piece, I'm not happy about that.)
Now, I have some catching up to do. Got home rather late.

Beauty, I considered getting some when I had an E34 but they look better on a 36

They do. I was lucky enough to get a white E36 with those wheels. My favorite.

I've always liked the customer service of Schwabies. Kal-Tire (Canada's version of Les Schwab, sadly) is not nearly as good.

Yup, they're great and there are several local to me and where I work. This one was only a mile away from where I found I had a flat.

Very convenient. I spent a winter (manually) studding tires at one in high school. Place was very well run, clean, and they had customer service training for all permanent staff. A whole suit of management courses for staff to work through as well.

I know a couple people who started out rolling tires and have ended up as managers. They treat their people very well, it seems. I didn't have any real options until this year (Firestone moved in on our hill) since I don't like Costco all that much for tires. I will stick with Schwab, though, and I've always been very happy with them.

Edit: Remember, everyone, I hate it. So many hates.

I'm with you on avoiding Costco for tires. I've had very bad luck there recently.

What did they do? I love Costco, but their use of gas instead of air and the random issues I've heard keep me away from their tire bays.

I don't think you're on the
Readers' Rides sheet
, are you? You should add that and your current ride(s)

On the wifes car we run steel wheels with wheel covers in the winter and alloys in the summer. Last swap out they forgot to remove the centering ring for the alloys so it rusted on the hub over the winter. Worse though, they bolted the wheels on and then put the wheel covers on after, I guess the guy thought the snapring just held them in place. 3 of 4 fell off on the drive home. They paid for replacements, but it was a hassle. Needless to say I bought a floor jack and a torque wrench and I just do the swap out myself now.
I get most everything else at Costco, but I no longer use their tire center.

Ouch! I definitely do want an impact wrench so I can do rotations and snow tire replacements myself.

Pizza and beer are always on me. Not planning on doing many mods, though. I just want her to work like she should and get her back up to 240hp.

That's good that they've been so good to you. For me it's been hit and miss (like a really bad miss). One Schwab is really good and another is the worst shop I have ever been to.

I will say that the one closest to my home is not that great. Never had a big problem, but they aren't as good as the rest of them. Once, they messed up on my friend's tire, so he took it to the one we normally go to and they took care of everything for him.
